Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Duluth, GA

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support the overall function of our dental practice. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth Take and record vital signs and medical histories for patients Assist with patient assessment and provide oral health education Utilize dental imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning Document patient information accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix Maintain infection control standards following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations Support chairside assisting during various procedures, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry treatments Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to procedures Ensure proper documentation review for compliance with medical coding standards Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting, preferably with pediatric patients Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques and chairside assisting preferred Familiarity with medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review processes Understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical coding standards for accurate recordkeeping This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to patient care excellence while utilizing your clinical skills in a dynamic dental practice.
