What Weâre Looking For The ideal candidate naturally demonstrates: A strong sense of responsibility and reliability Initiative â sees what needs to be done and takes action without being asked A positive and friendly personality âgets along well with others and enjoys teamwork Excellent hand skills and a gentle, patient-centered touch Attention to detail without rigidity â precise, but easy to work with (not obsessive, not difficult) Critical thinking & out-of-the-box problem-solving when unique clinical situations arise Professional communication â thinks before speaking, and conveys concepts with clarity and confidence Ability to capture clinical ideas and translate them into patient-friendly language Organized and structured in workflow and charting Comfortable supporting case acceptance by educating patients and reinforcing treatment recommendations Key Responsibilities: -Performing periodontal charting and helping patients understand their gum health -Verify and accurately document patient health histories at each visit. -Providing gentle and thorough cleanings, scaling, and root planning -Perform comprehensive periodontal maintenance therapy -Thorough, accurate charting â able to summarize appointments clearly and concisely -Take high-quality digital X-rays and CBCT scans and assisting with charting -Provide patient education and collaborate on treatment plans - Comfortable using laser as needed. -Applying Arestin , fluoride, sealants, and preventive treatments - Working closely with a supportive team that loves what they do -Maintain accurate documentation -Stay open to new treatment modalities and technologies in periodontal care -Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and OSHA safety standards to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff. -Keeping your room neat, clean, and welcoming Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience Active Virginia RDH license in good standing Strong background in periodontal therapy and instrumentation Excellent communication skills and professional chair-side manner Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to clinical excellence Anesthesia certification is a plus (but not required) We Offer: A modern, well-equipped General practice A supportive, experienced clinical team Competitive compensation in a quality-focused environment Opportunities to learn, grow, and expand your skills Job Type: 4-5 days/week Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour plus collection based bonus Benefits: Paid time off Employee discount Free parking On-the-job training Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
