Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. The RDA will play a vital role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions within our modern dental clinic. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent patient information following HIPAA guidelines. Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to infection control protocols. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout all procedures. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance. Assist with medical coding and documentation for insurance billing purposes when applicable. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. Experience working with pediatric patients and knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous. Competence in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning techniques. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting in various specialties such as endodontics or prosthodontics is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding medical documentation and patient privacy.
