Responsibilities Conducting oral health assessments, performing cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices. Demonstrate excellent patient communication skills, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Collaborate with dentists and support staff, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care. Managing patient records, and maintaining sterilization protocols. Maintain a clean and organized operatory, with regard for 10 minute turnover times. Qualifications Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist. X-Ray certification. Knowledge of Periodontal Treatment, required. Maintaining an optimistic outlook fosters a supportive and encouraging work environment. Clear and open communication ensuring that all team members are informed and aligned in their objectives. Being flexible in response to varying patient needs and office dynamics contributes to a harmonious team atmosphere. Understanding and addressing patient concerns with compassion strengthens patient relationships and team morale. Expectations The expectation for the hygienist is to conduct standard cleaning appointments in 1-hour time slots, allocate 90 minutes for new patient visits, and schedule 1.5 hours for scaling and root planing (SRP) appointments. The expected patient volume is approximately 6-8 patients per day.
