About the Role As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of each patient’s orthodontic journey—providing hands-on clinical support, ensuring comfort, and delivering exceptional care at every visit. Key Responsibilities Capture intraoral photos, digital X-rays, and iTero scans Take impressions, pour models, and fabricate vacuum-formed retainers Assist with bracket bonding, band fitting/cementation, wire changes, and appliance placements Maintain accurate records and keep the clinical area clean and organized Provide excellent chairside support and clear, friendly communication with patients and parents What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of orthodontic assisting experience Active Texas RDA license Strong communication skills and a warm, engaging approach with patients Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-minded Passionate about creating beautiful smiles and elevating the patient experience At Smile Makers Orthodontics, we believe every smile tells a story — and we’re grateful to be part of each one.
