Summary Our practice is growing and we're seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing patient experiences by assisting with orthodontic procedures and ensuring a welcoming environment. Your contributions will help us fulfill our mission of delivering exceptional care and support to our patients. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with applying braces and adjusting wires Remove and reapply wires, fit orthodontic appliances, deliver clear aligners Capture images and 3D scans of patient’s teeth Take high-quality pano and ceph X-rays (certification required) Demonstrate proper sterilizing procedures and contribute to this shared team duty Monitor patient progress and update treatment notes accurately Educate patients effectively and clearly with oral hygiene and appliance care instructions throughout the entire treatment process. Our ideal candidate Possesses a “patient-first” attitude of grace and patience for the families we take care of Possesses a “no-drama, team-player” attitude; willing to jump in and help everyone’s day run smoothly Communicates in a professional and congenial manner, both verbally and in writing Takes care in their personal appearance every day Demonstrates exceptional organizational and self-management skills Is committed to following privacy protection guidelines regarding sensitive information Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an orthodontic office Current RDA and Radiology certification Coronal Polishing and BLS Certification Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and strong attention to detail Exhibits adaptability and demonstrates the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar software Knowledge of Ortho2 software is a plus Office Specifics We treat both adults and children – Phase I and Phase II We use twin and self-ligating brackets, both metal and clear We us SPARK aligners by Ormco We have a Trios 3D scanner and do 3D printing For comprehensive cases, we primarily do indirect bonding with KLOwen brackets We use Ortho 2 software EA Orthodontics is a special place!
