Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures Assist dentists chairside during various treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining strict infection control protocols Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and reduce anxiety Skills Proficiency with dental software including Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures and documentation standards Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a real difference!
