Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. You will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our patients. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols. Manage patient medical records, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history and treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Take and record vital signs as needed to monitor patient health before procedures. Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the dental clinic using Dentrix software. Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene practices. Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical documentation is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Ability to take vital signs and understand basic medical records management. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is advantageous.
