Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff. This role involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and cleanings. Utilize 3D scanners and X-Ray equipment to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain and update medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs of patients as needed during procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in a pediatric dentistry setting. Stay informed about anatomy knowledge and medical terminology relevant to dental practices. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is required. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and X-Ray procedures is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and orthodontics is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing supplies.
