Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and proficiency with dental software systems. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and other preventive treatments with precision and care. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, ensuring accurate documentation. Take medical imaging such as X-rays and CTs while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Assist with chairside procedures using aseptic techniques and proper dental assisting practices. Experience with intraoral scanners or willingness to learn Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-treatment care. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Support pediatric dentistry procedures when applicable, ensuring a gentle approach tailored to young patients. Utilize dental software systems like Dentrix for documentation review, scheduling, and record keeping. Adhere to all infection control standards, including sterilization procedures and OSHA guidelines. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Requirements Good attitude & willingness to learn Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with Arkansas state regulations. CPR certification Proven experience with dental office management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; EMR system proficiency is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Prior experience working in dental clinics or healthcare environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
