Overview Looking for a unique work environment? We are an intimate Family and Cosmetic Dental practice seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our patient centered dental practice. We don't double book and we're not a clinic. 1 doctor to 1 patient appointments. We build relationships that we hope to have for a lifetime. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting the clinical team, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing preventive dental services, patient assessments, and assisting with general dentistry procedures on rare occasions. Experience with Eaglesoft software is a plus! Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, applying fluoride and placing sealants (Administering anesthetic when needed) Conduct patient assessments of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse Customize care to meet patient's oral health Match and Mirror Patient for optimal patient experience Take Dental Radiographs Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans & nutritional counseling Be a team player who can step in to help others when the need arises. On rare occasions assisting dentist when hygiene patient requires minor treatment while in hygiene chair, assist with "office chores," etc. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including conditions for treatment Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness Support infection control protocols through sterilization and aseptic techniques Manage patient flow efficiently to ensure a positive experience Collaborate with dentist on treatment planning and patient care strategies Use Intraoral camera during patient assessments and/or treatment discussions Requirements Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing X-ray License & CPR certification up to date Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and documentation review Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and aseptic techniques is a plus Strong communication skills and attention to detail If you're looking for a warm, friendly, family oriented, patient centered, relationship driven, no drama practice, then you've found the right place.
