Orthodontic Dental Assistant - Greater Houston Orthodontics - Houston, TX

We are looking for a full-time position on our team as an orthodontic assistant for our private, multi-location practice located in Houston. The candidate should possess a self-motivated positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make each visit a pleasant environment for our patients. At least 1 year of experience in orthodontics and an RDA are preferred, but not required. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Responsibilities include: · Provides outstanding customer service with patients as #1 priority; partnering with staff, successfully resolves patient complaints, concerns, and questions in a timely manner. · Fully assists orthodontists in the process of treating patients. · Take digital x-rays. · Takes intra and extraoral pictures · Provides patients with instructions for oral care following appointments and procedures · Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to improve or maintain oral health while having braces. · Performs operatory set up and break down · Sterilizes instruments · Effectively understands and utilizes office dental software (Experience with Ortho2 Edge is a plus) · Arriving on time to provide an adequate amount of time to set up for the day · Setting up patient trays, stock rooms and cleaning the office.
