Job Overview We are excited to be looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable private dental office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with various clinical procedures. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team including Dr Zach Case and Dr Kurt Hulse to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for all patients, including pediatric and general dentistry cases. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal assessments using advanced techniques such as four-handed dentistry. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient assessments in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans. Utilize dental imaging equipment to capture necessary diagnostic images. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Document all procedures accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with dentists during procedures, providing chairside assisting as needed in general dentistry procedures. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review standards. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines throughout patient interactions. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques. Skilled in vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment. Ability to perform chairside assisting in general dentistry settings with competence in medical coding and documentation review. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric and adult patients alike. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and medical terminology. Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments is highly desirable.
