Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental instruments, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a wide range of dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry along with a large amount of oral surgery Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as Cerec and medical imaging equipment while adhering to infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance with aseptic techniques, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to support safe and effective treatment. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote optimal health outcomes. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records efficiently. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and anatomy knowledge. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Experience with X-ray procedures, and other medical imaging tools is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry and maintaining aseptic technique standards.
