Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Prairie Village, KS

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our amazing team at our single-doctor owned & operated practice in Prairie Village. Dr. Chaney provides exceptional dental treatment in almost all areas of general dentistry, including Invisalign, Cerec same-day crowns, Implants, Grafting & limited Oral Surgery, Botox, Cosmetic Dentistry, and limited pediatric dentistry. We are 100% digital, use Dentrix software and Dexis imaging (training available). Patient treatment hours are Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm, and Thursdays 7:00am-2:30pm. We hold morning huddles every day 15min prior to patient appointments, monthly team meetings, and monthly team-outings such as happy hours and other fun activities. Our team is highly productive during its 32 hours of weekly patient care, but our dental assistants regularly have the opportunity to work more than 34 hours per week. Compensation will be based on experience. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required. We work hard to keep our team members happy and provide excellent benefits. Responsibilities Greet and escort patients to & from reception area, prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, ensure patient comfort while assisting chairside, provide post-operative instructions, and ensure excellent communication with patients and between team members. Maintain a clean, organized environment, keep dental operatories organized and well-stocked, and ensure proper instrument sterilization. Set up and break down instruments, equipment and materials for each procedure. Maintain accurate patient clinical records and treatment notes Be attentive to the schedule and work as a team to ensure all patients are taken care of to a high standard and in a timely manner. Help create and present treatment plans to patients Help with material and supplies ordering for the office Oversee submitting & receiving of lab cases, and complete limited in-house lab work (Cerec crowns, pour models, whitening trays, retainers) Schedule patient appointments Be willing to help with reception duties when needed, including processing of payments, patient scheduling, and have an understanding of the insurance claims process.
