Camarillo Premier Dental Back Office Dental Assistant (RDA) or CDA Reports to: Practice Operations Director / Dentist Classification: Full-Time / Hourly Location: Camarillo Premier Dental Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sats Work Schedule (35 -40 Hours/Week) Day Hours Total Monday 8:30 AM â 5:30 PM 8 hrs Tuesday 11:30 AM â 8:30 PM 8 hrs Thursday 11:30 AM â 8:30 PM 8 hrs Friday 8:30 AM â 2:00 PM then 3:00 -5:00(PM is set for ADMIN work) 8 hrs Saturday 7:30 AM â 1:30 PM 6 hrs Position Purpose & Overview The Back Office Dental Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of clinical care and comfort. This position supports the dentist and clinical team in all aspects of patient treatment â from preparing rooms and instruments to assisting during procedures and maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment. As a key member of our dental care team, the Back Office Dental Assistant helps create a smooth, organized flow of patients throughout the day. This role requires someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate â with a genuine desire to help patients feel at ease during their visits. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in clinical support but also understands the importance of teamwork, communication, and professionalism in maintaining the overall success of the practice. Camarillo Premier Dental Back Office Dental Assistant (RDA) or CDA Key Responsibilities Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, surgical, and endodontic care. Ensure all necessary materials and instruments are ready for each procedure. Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed. Record and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately. Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and ensure their comfort throughout the visit. Maintain back-office inventory and alert the lead assistant or office manager when supplies are running low. Support the front office and clinical team in ensuring on-time patient flow. Participate in morning huddles and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment. Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures. Qualifications: Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (CDA) license. X-ray, CPR, and Infection Control certifications required. Minimum 3 years of chairside assisting experience required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working with technology, including digital X-rays and dental software (Open Dental experience a plus). Positive attitude and commitment to patient care and teamwork.
