Pediatric Dental Restorative Assistant (Experienced) Commonwealth Pediatric Dentistry | Louisville, KY Commonwealth Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced pediatric dental restorative assistant to join our growing team. We are a highly organized, efficient pediatric dental practice with high standards for patient care, infection control, and teamwork. We are intentionally selective in this hiring process â attitude, accountability, and culture fit are just as important as clinical skill. Position Overview This role is ideal for a confident pediatric assistant who is comfortable restoring, assisting efficiently, and taking ownership of their role. After training, this individual should be able to work independently without constant direction , while remaining a strong team player who supports the office as a whole. Clinical & Restorative Responsibilities Confident placement and assisting with: Sealants Composite restorations Esthetic anterior restorations Stainless steel crowns Zirconia crowns Pulpotomy procedures Extractions (including occasional permanent tooth extractions) Bioclear experience a plus Skilled in taking high-quality diagnostic radiographs Assist in hygiene when needed to support patient flow May be asked to assist as an OR assistant Maintain excellent isolation, suctioning, and patient management skills Efficient operatory setup and breakdown Infection Control & Office Responsibilities Infection control is paramount in our practice. This role requires a strong understanding of and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment. Responsibilities include: Strict adherence to all infection control protocols Daily cleaning and maintenance of dental unit water lines Changing traps and maintaining suction systems Proper instrument processing and operatory disinfection Assisting with inventory management and supply organization Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the office We do not have a cleaning crew â our team takes pride in maintaining our own workspace. Team & Administrative Support Assist the front office when needed Support teammates to ensure smooth, efficient days Willingness to step in where help is needed What Weâre Looking For Experienced pediatric dental assistant (required) Confident, reliable, and self-motivated Able to work independently after training Strong attention to detail, especially with infection control Excellent chairside manner with children and parents Positive, respectful, team-oriented attitude Takes pride in their work and environment ⨠A strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential to our culture.
