Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering patient care excellence. Prior experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly valued, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pediatric dentistry. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry specialties. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays and operate medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and updating medical records Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist with four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency during procedures Maintain comprehensive medical documentation adhering to HIPAA standards and medical coding requirements Support the team with general administrative tasks related to medical records and documentation Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other dental imaging technologies Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment Background in pediatric dentistry or pediatrics is a plus Certification or training in chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, or related fields is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards for accurate documentation This position offers an engaging work environment where professionalism and patient care are prioritized.
