Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the overall patient experience. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. The Registered Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and other team members to deliver high-quality dental care across general dentistry, including oral surgery, endodontics and restorative. Experience with digital dentistry including intraoral scanning and practice management software preferred. This position offers an engaging environment focused on patient health and comfort. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies using aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Record vital signs, medical history and dental charting in Dentrix Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical documentation Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Maintain sterilization standards to ensure a safe clinical environment Support administrative tasks including patient check-in/out, taking payment and covering phones as needed Assist with 3D scanner operation and other advanced imaging equipment for comprehensive diagnostics Ensure compliance with all OSHA standards and infection control procedures Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry setting Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards Strong understanding of dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and related procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment This position is integral to providing outstanding dental care while supporting the health and well-being of our patients.
