Possesses sufficient knowledge, skill, and ability to perform all aspects of the job effectively, efficiently, and safely. Peer review of dental care records shows appropriate use of SOAP format for evaluations of dental complaints. Documents vital signs before local anesthetic. Meets community standards of care. Follows Texas Tech guidelines for use of EMR. Develops and manages workforce based on the organizational goals by ensuring that employees are recruited, selected, compensated, trained, developed, promoted, disciplined, and appraised according to TTUHSC policy and procedure. Addresses individual subordinatesâ development in Performance Evaluations and in actions taken to engage staff in growth activities. In-service records show that infection control policy is reviewed annually. Total hours of other dental related in-service topics meet accrediting body standards. Required Qualifications Current license to practice dentistry by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners required. Current Drug Enforcement Agency controlled substances registration certificate required. Preferred Qualifications One year of experience preferred, but not required.
