RESPONSIBILITES Provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and preventive care. Conduct thorough exams and diagnoses, developing personalized treatment plans Manage dental emergencies and special cases as needed. Demonstrate excellent patient communication skills, ensuring children and their families feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, mental health professionals, and dental hygienists, to deliver whole care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and health center policies. Provide guidance to dental assistants and other staff as needed. REQUIREMENTS 3+ Years Experience in General Dentistry Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid dental license to practice in the state. Proficient in Restorative Treatments, Endodontics, & Periodontics Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental fabrication techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. EXPECTATIONS Proficient in performing restorative, endodontic, and periodontic treatments, demonstrating a high level of technical skill and knowledge, and able to assess and diagnose conditions accurately, offering effective solutions. In addition to technical expertise, an associate dentist should excel in patient communication, particularly in presenting treatment plans in a clear, empathetic, and non-threatening manner. This involves listening to patient concerns, explaining treatment options in simple terms, and building trust to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care decisions. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial to fostering positive patient relationships and maintaining a calm and respectful environment.
