Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process. You will play a crucial role in educating young patients and their families about oral hygiene practices while assisting the dentist in delivering comprehensive dental services. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and reviewing medical history. Perform dental cleanings, applying fluoride treatments, and sealants as necessary. Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Stay updated on pediatric dentistry practices and advancements in dental technology. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to pediatric dentistry. Proficient in medical terminology relevant to dental hygiene. Experience with patient assessment techniques and systems used in dental practice. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with children and their guardians, fostering a positive environment. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
