Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of oral health. You will work closely with our dental team to deliver preventive and therapeutic services while educating patients on maintaining their oral hygiene. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments while adhering to infection control protocols. Assess and record patients' medical histories, including vital signs, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding treatment plans. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients. Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide support in dental assisting tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth workflow within the practice. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Strong knowledge of infection control practices and procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
