We are seeking a dedicated Dentist to provide high quality clinical dental services to patients who are going through treatment and recovery of substance use addiction. You will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care from routine exams to complex procedures ensuring every patient receives the best possible experience and outcome. We are a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare organization serving our community through our growing Substance Use Disorder Clinic, Primary Care Clinic, Pediatric Clinic, Quick Care Clinic, and Behavioral Health Clinic. We are looking for a creative, strategic, and community minded Marketing and Public Relations Specialist who is ready to elevate our brand, strengthen our community presence, and help people access the care they need. We are located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, surrounded by the great outdoors. Locally we have many city, county, state, and federal parks. Essential Job Functions for the Dentist include but are not limited to: Evaluates patients, performing examinations to determine nature of condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures. Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums and related oral structures. Provides dental services, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and replacement of teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements. Provides preventive dental services to patient, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth. Instructs clients in proper practices of dental hygiene and in procedures pertinent to provided treatments. Performs related duties and other tasks as required most especially outreach and patient education. Provides comprehensive, culturally appropriate oral health care holistically with emphasis on team and patient positive experience. Embraces minimally invasive dentistry philosophy. Provides in-service training to staff. Participates in specialty clinics collaboratively with other members in planning to the health needs and complaints of clients and patients. Assists the Chief Operating Officer in maintaining strong collaboration and communication relative to overall operation of the dental clinic. Coordinates referral of services to dental specialists for treatment that cannot be provided within the scope of the Quinault Dental Clinic. Performs other duties as assigned. Adheres to all QWC Policies. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited dental school with a DDS or DMD degree. Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures. Knowledge of all applicable federal and state laws related to dentistry and public health. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge and adherence to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2). Applicants must always conduct self ethically and professionally. Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI requirements. Knowledge of common office and administrative procedures. Skills in the operation of a personal computer and standard office programs and equipment. Ability to work in a cross-culture environment and understands the social and cultural context of the patients at the Quinault Wellness Center, understanding the role of trauma, historical, community, family, and personal experience in wellness and recovery. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and outside agencies. Preferred: Previous community clinic and/or IHS dental experience is preferred. License Requirements: Possess unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Washington State, and complete requirements for a Quinault Dental Provider License during the probationary period. Current CPR (BLS) certifications. NPI and DEA registrations. Physical & Mental Requirements: While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to be able work at a computer work station during their scheduled shift. Employee is required to have in-person interaction with patients. The employee occasionally is required to stand; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must be able to report to work on time and work their full scheduled shift.
