Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care by performing thorough patient assessments, educating patients on oral health, and assisting in various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations. Clean teeth and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to provide optimal patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency in general dentistry practices, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology and vital signs is preferred. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental clinic or as a dental assistant is advantageous but not mandatory.
