Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Burke, VA

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control standards are maintained, and support the overall patient care experience. The Registered Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans and medical imaging as required Record accurate patient medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Maintain strict infection control protocols following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care Manage medical documentation and records with attention to confidentiality and accuracy Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Adhere to all safety standards related to anatomy knowledge, medical coding, and infection control practices Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and clinical support roles Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, 3D scanners, and vital signs monitoring Background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is advantageous Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings including endodontics and prosthodontics procedures Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental practice and medical coding practices for dental records Join our team to provide compassionate patient care while advancing your career in a professional environment that values expertise in dental assisting.
