Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Capture and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, while maintaining strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, treatment plans, and medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Softdent and Dexis. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Softdent for scheduling, documentation review, and record management, Dexis for xrays. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and communicate effectively with team members. Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific care practices is highly desirable. Skilled in infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic environment. Excellent patient care abilities with a focus on compassionate communication and assessment of individual needs. Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, including preventive services and basic restorative treatments. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow.
