Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a modern facility utilizing advanced dental technology, including Eaglesoft. The Registered Dental Hygienist will collaborate with our dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for our diverse patient population. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and medical histories to inform treatment planning Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate techniques and safety protocols Document patient information accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for each patient visit Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control procedures and proper sterilization of instruments Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and current best practices in patient care Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively Ability to work efficiently within a team environment, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging, medical records management, and documentation review processes Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality Join our team to provide compassionate dental care while advancing your professional skills in a supportive environment committed to excellence.
