Job Overview We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist / Assistant to join our small family oriented dental practice. In this role, you will be a welcoming face of our office, providing exceptional patient service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will ensure smooth daily operations, from scheduling appointments to entering insurance payments and helping the clinical staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience and support our clinical team with essential administrative and clinical assistance. This could be a part time or full time position. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and updating insurance plan benefits. Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software and coordinate patient flow efficiently. Manage a multi-line phone system and texting platform with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication. Maintain and update patient records in Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times. Assist with intake procedures, including collecting all necessary information. Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, managing sterilization, and managing supplies inventory. Input insurance payments and check on past due insurance claims. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with health information management standards. Perform clerical duties such as scanning, shredding, and updating records. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally both in person and over the phone. Keep the practice clean and orderly by vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, cleaning and stocking the bathroom. Complete various other tasks as assigned. Experience Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred, with a solid background in medical or dental administrative support. Demonstrated proficiency in Eaglesoft preferred. Familiarity with health information management practices and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with multi-line phone systems. Prior office management or front desk experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
