Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our close knit, reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration prior to treatment Assist with imaging procedures like X-rays using proper aseptic techniques and safety protocols Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and provide appropriate education on oral hygiene practices Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring all instruments are sterilized according to infection control standards Document patient information accurately in EMR system which is Dentrix, including medical history and treatment notes Educate patients on proper oral care techniques, emphasizing preventive measures and treatment plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and documentation review for accurate recordkeeping Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification Prior experience is preferred Proficiency with dental office software Dentrix is highly desirable Experience with imaging, vital signs measurement, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential Knowledge of dental terminology, records management, and documentation review processes required Join our team to deliver outstanding patient care in a supportive environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and excellence in dental health services.
