Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and interpret vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to assess patient health status Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry treatments Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment plans are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments and equipment Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proficiency with Open Dental software for scheduling, documentation, and record management Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively Join us if you’re passionate about fostering healthy smiles!
