Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our family dental practice for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive oral health and education. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a dental office environment. Experience in both pediatric and general dentistry is preferred. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with clinic protocols. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the dental clinic environment. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and aseptic techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory; general dentistry experience is essential. Proficient in using dental office systems for patient management and record keeping. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical settings. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
