Job Overview (Some DENTAL EXPERIANCE REQUIRED) We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Office Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental and medical administrative systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing processes. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent patient service Schedule appointments using EMR system such as OPEN DENTAL Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and verification procedures Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle collections Maintain accurate patient records Handle multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette and assist with patient inquiries Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies Support clinic operations through administrative support tasks related to medical office management Requirements Prior experience in a dental or medical front desk role is highly preferred; dental clinic experience is a plus Proficiency with dental practice management softwares Strong knowledge of dental terminology, Experience with health information management and medical records documentation review Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry accuracy (10 key typing) Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and patient interaction experience Ability to handle administrative duties efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols in healthcare settings Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively This position is integral to providing seamless patient experiences while supporting the clinical team through efficient administrative operations.
