Position Overview: We are seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant who is friendly, dependable, and eager to learn . No prior dental experience is required— we will train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a love for working with both patients and staff in a fast-paced, fun, and supportive environment. Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Occasional extended hours for opening and closing responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Prepare, disinfect, and turn over hygiene operatories between patients Polishing and flossing patients after hygiene visits (under supervision) Perform iTero intraoral scans and ensure scan quality and labeling Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventative care Take accurate clinical exam notes during hygiene or doctor exams Ensure hygienists stay on time by proactively supporting patient flow Seat and dismiss patients with professionalism and warmth Track and restock hygiene supplies daily Complete opening and closing procedures for hygiene and sterilization areas Sterilize instruments and maintain strict compliance with OSHA and infection control standards Support the hygiene and clinical teams with any additional patient care tasks Required Upon Hire or Shortly After: Radiograph Certification : Required within 2 weeks of hire (course offered through NVCC ) CPR/BLS Certification : Must be obtained within 14 days of hire and kept current Preferred (but not required): Experience in dental assisting or healthcare Previous exposure to iTero scanning or Eaglesoft Ideal Candidate Will Possess: A strong work ethic and high personal accountability A passion for learning and interest in dentistry as a career Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A team-first mentality and willingness to assist wherever needed The ability to stay calm, focused, and flexible in a busy environment Why Join Us: Fast-paced, supportive team environment Ongoing hands-on training and mentorship Entry-level pathway into a long-term dental career Work alongside passionate professionals who value growth, quality, and patient care Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week Benefits: Continuing education credits Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Professional development assistance Profit sharing Uniform allowance Vision insurance Ability to Commute: Springfield, VA 22153 (Required) Work Location: In person
