Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, infection control, and dental procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional oral health services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, patient education, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment. Assist with dental procedures using chairside assisting techniques, including preparing instruments and materials. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories within electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support the dental team by managing medical imaging procedures and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness. Antibiotic and laser therapies Qualifications Valid license as a Dental Hygienist with current state licensure. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings; experience with pediatric patients Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical imaging techniques.
