Registered Dental Hygienist - First Dental Center - Tucson, AZ

Hello there! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice! We are a small private practice, and we put patient care first. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent periodontal disease Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using modern imaging equipment Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring proper infection control and aseptic techniques Review and update medical records accurately within our Open Dental software Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Document treatment procedures, patient responses, and other relevant information thoroughly Maintain a sterile environment following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Support general dentistry procedures with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding when necessary Skills Proficiency in dental software Open Dental for documentation and scheduling. We can always train! Skilled in prophylaxis, gingival scaling, scaling and root planning as well as oral hygiene instructions.
