We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Office Specialist for our Children's Dental Clinic. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical administrative systems, and a compassionate approach to pediatric dental care. The Front Office position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on providing exceptional patient service while supporting clinic operations. Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure Schedule appointments through dental software Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification using systems like Athenahealth or Epic Collect payments and process medical billing and coding, including CPT and ICD coding, ensuring accuracy in documentation review Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality of medical records and health information management Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment coordination Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history Maintain office organization through filing, data entry, and managing electronic documentation Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and other healthcare regulations during all administrative activities Preferred, but NOT required: Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and care plan documentation Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, and health information management Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental office management software is a plus Required: Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service and phone etiquette in a fast-paced environment Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry accuracy Ability to handle administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a clinical setting Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a pediatric dental environment This role provides an engaging opportunity to contribute to a caring pediatric dental team by ensuring smooth front desk operations while delivering outstanding patient experiences.
