Orthodontic Assistant - Cascade Orthodontics - Lacey, WA

Responsibilities: - Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental X-rays - Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dolphin Cloud - Assist with patient assessment, including taking vital signs and recording medical history - Provide support to the orthodontist during procedures by passing instruments, taking notes, and providing patient comfort - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care Skills: - Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dolphin Cloud - Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and dental coding - Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and develop them for analysis - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and provide clear instructions on oral hygiene practices Note: While not all skills mentioned are required for this position, having knowledge or experience in these areas would be beneficial.
