Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, implants, and oral surgery. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained at all times Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging equipment to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records efficiently using * Open Dental ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient assessments and safety protocols Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques and/or dental hygiensts to enhance treatment efficiency and comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care while addressing their questions with clear dental terminology Skills Proficiency in dental assisting with experience in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with Open Dental a plus Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, and other imaging tools effectively Strong understanding of general dentistry principles and procedures along with excellent communication skills to coordinate appointments and provide exceptional patient service Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Competence in general dentistry procedures along with specialized areas such as prosthodontics and endodontics This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dental care.
