Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and familiarity with various dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services across general and specialized dentistry, including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The successful applicant will be instrumental in supporting the dental team through chairside assisting, infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when necessary, including scheduling appointments and updating medical records Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy Provide patient education on oral health care, dental terminology, and post-treatment instructions Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards Assist with medical imaging procedures and document medical coding accurately for billing purposes Support pediatric dentistry procedures by understanding pediatric-specific protocols and anatomy knowledge Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting techniques Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic technique Experience with X-ray procedures, including 3D scanner operation preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical documentation standards Ability to perform chairside assisting across various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the dental field for qualified candidates passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
