Job Overview We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Front Desk Receptionist for a dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting administrative functions. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office systems, and a professional demeanor to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally in both English and Spanish, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Open dental Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verifications . Collect payments for co-pay. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Health Information Management platforms Assist with data entry, filing, and general clerical tasks including typing, filing, and utilizing Microsoft Office applications Support clinic staff with administrative tasks related to care plans, medical records management, and office management duties Ensure compliance with all health information privacy standards and clinic policies Requirements Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatoryfor effective communication with diverse patient populations Previous experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role is highly preferred Familiarity with dental terminology. Experience working with dental practice management software such as open denal. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), multi-line phone operation, typing skills (10 key typing), and familiarity with health information management systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and confidentially Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical billing procedures is required Office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; clinic or hospital experience is advantageous Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing outstanding patient care.
