Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental hygiene procedures, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment, with a focus on cosmetic dentistry and general dentistry services. The successful applicant will be proficient in dental software such as Sensei, ensuring accurate documentation and medical record management. A commitment to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols is essential to maintain a safe and confidential environment. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in dental system Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. Review medical records for comprehensive patient care planning. Assist with medical coding related to dental procedures for billing purposes. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Proven experience in dental office settings Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and medical imaging. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Strong communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration. Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.
