The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the clinical team. Harrison Pointe Dentistry is looking for a great candidate to join our wonderfully caring team! Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays and 3D scans, while adhering to safety protocols. Record vital signs and patient medical histories accurately in the electronic health record system (Eaglesoft). Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness according to infection control protocols. Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Qualifications Diploma or certificate from an approved dental assisting program as accredited by CODA. X-ray radiation certificate from the state of NC and DA II certification from the state of NC. Preferred two years of general dental assisting experience. Proficiency in using dental equipment such as 3D scanners and imaging devices. Current CPR certification. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
