Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Longmont, CO
Weâre searching for a full-time Dental Assistant to provide support to our dentistâs office. Youâll be responsible for supporting our dental staff, helping prep for examinations and procedures, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday:7:45am-5pm, Friday:9am-1pm (1 month training period schedule is Monday-Thursday, schedule changes Tuesday-Friday in February) Responsibilities: Ensure patient's comfort during procedures Preparing operatories for treatment Sterilizing instruments Directly assist the dentist during procedures using the four-handed dentistry technique Take x-rays and intraoral photos Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctorâs diagnosis Providing patient education and post-operative instruction Dental charting and coding Ensure compliance with infection control protocols Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns Ordering supplies and maintaining budgets Stock supplies and maintain equipment Qualifications: CPR/BLS certification required Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred Radiology Certification required Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental preferred Strong teamwork and communication skills About Pine Ridge Dental: At Pine Ridge Dental we strive to create beautiful and healthy smiles through general and restorative dentistry in Longmont, Colorado, and to clients in Mead, Firestone, Boulder, and Erie.
