Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients to provide preventive dental care, educate them on oral hygiene practices, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment in the dental office. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments as needed. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and documentation review standards. Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient care in a general dentistry setting, including pediatrics when necessary. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred Strong understanding of infection control practices and ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, including children Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
