Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our extraordinary team on a full-time or part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional compassionate patient care, perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance and scaling / root planing and assist in maintaining a smooth clinical operation. Experience with electronic medical records and a strong understanding of dental terminology, technology and infection control protocols are essential. Responsibilities Perform compassionate patient care, dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance and scaling / root planing. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR systems like Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Support general dentistry procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology. Ensure the clinical environment remains sterile, organized, and compliant with all safety standards. Skills Proficiency with the dental software Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical imaging, vital signs assessment, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry procedures is essential. Ability to adhere to aseptic techniques and infection prevention standards consistently.
