The office is a completely fee for service practice that has been offering cosmetic and high end comprehensive dental care in the community for over 25 years. Northwest Smile Designs in Ridgefield WA is looking for a hygienist 8-16 hours per week. Their office is conveniently located just one block off I-5 near the Clark County Fairgrounds. Long term supportive staff for help chair-side for charting, room turnover, X-ray films. Long term patients, fee for service, (no insurance driven care), high end comprehensive care. 360- 574-8888 Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Growth opportunities Regular social events Relaxed atmosphere Flexible working hours Safe work environment Lively atmosphere On-the-job training Company perks ```Duties``` - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging as needed - Provide oral health education to patients, including proper brushing and flossing techniques - Assist the dentist during procedures, such as filling cavities or applying sealants - Administer local anesthesia or nitrous oxide to patients as directed by the dentist - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental office environment - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality ```Requirements``` - Valid dental hygiene license in [Washington State] - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program - Experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting preferred - Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures - Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions - Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry - Proficient in taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
