Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient care activities accurately, including treatment plans and progress notes. Review medical and dental histories to identify any potential issues or contraindications for treatment. Assist in the management of patient records and documentation systems. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide exceptional patient care. Stay updated on current dental terminology, procedures, and best practices. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
