Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Whiting, NJ
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental family in our Manchester Practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain optimal oral health for patients. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed for diagnostic purposes. Document patient treatment plans and progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of patient records using CURVE or similar dental office software. Monitor vital signs and provide necessary patient care during procedures. Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to enhance patient services. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field. Experience with medical imaging techniques, including X-ray procedures. Familiarity with CURVE or similar dental office management software is preferred. Excellent patient care skills, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatment processes. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical coding practices is beneficial. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and data security. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
