Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team at a growing dental practice where we provide the highest level of dentistry for our neighborhood. Experienced dental office receptionist is preferred. Pay negotiable, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional patient service and administrative support. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office, helping to create a welcoming environment for patients while managing various administrative tasks efficiently. Responsibility/Duties Must provide top quality customer service experience, and participate in ongoing training. Must be organized and enjoy working with others. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's daily/weekly/monthly calendar effectively. Verify insurance eligibility, obtain coverage details, file insurance claims, enter claim payments, and handle billing tasks. Present treatment fees to patients, explain EOBs when necessary, make financial arrangements when needed, and help patients maximize their insurance benefits. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental Software (training is provided). Process patient payments and manage collections. Coordinate with dentist and staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic. Assist in managing inventory and ordering office supplies when necessary. Perform general administrative tasks such as registering patients, data entry, and maintaining office organization. Experience Must be familiar with dental terminology/CDT codes, and have ability to explain treatment to patients. Familiarity with dental clinic systems and administrative procedures is highly desirable. Computer savvy Basic mathematics. Must have knowledge calculating co-payments.
